A 24-year-old man is referred with a lump on the left side of his neck. He did not find it himself — his barber did, three months ago, when the clippers caught on it. It has grown slowly since and has never once hurt. The other thing he mentions, almost apologetically, is that he has been itching for about ten weeks. There is no rash anywhere, only the marks where he has scratched. He assumed it was the laundry detergent his flatmate switched to, and changing back made no difference, and neither did anything from the pharmacy.
